AIG Employee, Kenneth Feinberg To Get A $4.3 Million Bonus

A top executive of AIG received an increase in bonus of 4.3 million (3 million euros), accepted by the majority shareholder, who is now the state.

The U.S. government, represented by Kenneth Feinberg, said “the Tsar payroll” has accepted the request of the insurer issuing the increase to this connection, the form of stock options, up from 3.26 million ( 2.26 million euros), plus an incentive bonus of up to one million dollars (699,000 euros). This completes a basic salary of 450,000 dollars a year (314,700 euros).

Feinberg says that this will increase the salary of the officer at one of more than 25 other senior executives of the firm. Otherwise, the person threatened to leave AIG.

The Treasury declined as the company to reveal the name of the officer. AIG has received $ 182 billion (127 billion euros) under the bailout of financial institutions.

By providing this generous allocation to an officer, the “Tsar payroll” considers it “ensures that the employee will contribute to long-term success of AIG, so eventually reimburse the taxpayers.”
