7-Eleven stores across Canada and the U.S. are offering a sweet deal on Wednesday.
“May 23rd is going to be one tasty day. Why? Is it the first day of Summer? No, of course it isn’t. But we’re starting summer early! May 23rd is SlurpFree Day- meaning you get to enjoy a Slurpee for, you guessed it, free,” the company said on its website.
Aley Krayem wrote on the company’s Facebooke page:
“Just got back from 7 elevn even though its 7.5 oz who cares its still a slurpee ”
The company said that the regular July give-a-way is still on.
Each year 7/11 usually offers free slurpees on July 11 (7/11), so naturally people were concerned that the yearly tradition had been scrapped.

ok, so…i understand that today is free slurpee day. why not on 7/11 like previous years? will we not get free slurpees on 7/11? is this going to be a one time thing (just for the sugar free slurpee)?”
In conjunction with the free giveaway, the company introduced a sugar-free mango flavor on Wednesday.
It’s the first sugar-free Slurpee the convenience store chain has offered. The company also plans another free Slurpee giveaway on July 11, 7-Eleven day.
