Blackberry Playbook Launch Leaks
Fresh leaks today on the highly anticipated Blackberry Playbook tablet, and the primer is filled with loads of information regarding features and specs for the device.
There was previous information about the tablet roadmap leaked for devices bound for retailers worldwide. That chart didn’t show full pricing or release dates for all models expected, but the new, updated roadmap has release and launch dates for the Blackberry Playbook and other devices like the HP Touchpad, and Samsung’s new model.
The chart reveals that the Blackberry Playbook will be releasing on March 27th to United States retailers. The device will go for $499, $599, or $699 depending upon which size of an on-board hard drive the user purchases with the Playbook.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab will be launching this March as well. A price of $499 and an Android OS makes the device a formidable competitor with the Playbook. Users who prefer the Android mobile OS will likely choose the Galaxy Tab over the Playbook, but Blackberry fanatics will go for the Playbook.
Both companies are looking for ways to make their device more appealing to new users to tablets. The Blackberry Playbook hosts a wide variety of business-friendly features, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab will likely have a better processor for portable media and games.

Blackberry Playbook Features Leaked, Release Date In Canada Draws Near

march or april make up your mind.
If the release date is truly 10 days away, then they should be advertising. So I think RIM lied about the Q1 release date and now it’s going to be in April. They used to say that they were sticking to Q1, but it seems to convenient that since it’s towards the end of Q1, they stopped talking about it’s release date.
Though RIM’s year end is at the end of Feb/beginning of March, making THEIR Q1 March, April or May… sticky business.
i like that RIM isn’t rushing to put this in the marketplace – I will wait patiently albeit anxiously
Too late out of the gate….poor commitment dates
Better to get this right and come out on April 19th then come out early with something that isn’t 100%.
Besides, if you do your home work, check out all the information the Playbook should be great
