There are some consolation prizes. 17 ticket holders have scored $1-million. 9 of those MaxMillion winners were sold in Ontario.
Friday night’s Lotto MAX draw boasted the most prize money the game has ever offered: $100 million, comprised of a $50-million jackpot and 50 $1-million individual prizes.
Canadians bought tickets in droves ahead of the draw.
“Everybody wants Lotto Max,” said Michael Lee at International News in Vancouver told Postmedia News.
“We’re getting an extra $500 or $600 in sales every day.”
