Former Playmate Smuggling Arrest
In a bizarre case, another Playboy Playmate has been arrested.
Former model Collen Shannon was arrested late last week in upstate New York for allegedly attempting to smuggle a man into the United States.
Shannon, 34, was booked on a charge of “bringing in and harboring aliens” after being arrested by agents of Customs and Border Protection. The one time Playboy Playmate has allegedly tried to hide and transport a man from Canada into the U.S. The man be Shannon’s boyfriend, however, this has yet to be verified.
“This is almost comical,” Mike Young, from Oklahoma City, said. “We have hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants flooding into the U.S. from Mexico and they catch a Playboy model with some guy at the Canadian border. This is just the opposite of straining at gnats and swallowing camels.”
Shannon has since been released on bond from the Clinton County Jail. If convicted, Shannon could face as many as ten years in jail for violating federal law. Shannonis the latest in a string of former Playboy Playmates who have been arrested in recent years for various crimes.
