A video has been making rounds that supposedly shows footage of Iceland’s version of the Loch Ness monster.

The footage of an alleged Lagarfljot river worm shows what appears to be a creature swimming in a winding motion in a river in Iceland.

A legend that dates back to the year 1345 says that the creature was once a small heather worm that was set upon a golden ring.

The people did this because they thought that the gold would grow, and the ring would become bigger and be worth more. The man returned for the ring a few days later and saw that the worm had grown much larger but the ring had not. The man threw them both into the river where the worm kept growing.

Most skeptics believe the video shows old netting that had broken free of the melting ice, not a folklore creature.

Hypertrichosis Universalis Disorder, better known as werewolf syndrome, causes a strong growth of hair across the entire body from head to foot is very rare. It affects only one in a billion people. Unfortunately, for the Sangli sisters in Central India, they are three of only a handful of people on Earth that are afflicted. They live in their rural village and inherited the disorder from their father. Currently, the girls, ages 23, 18, and 16, use creams to manage the disorder but that does little to hold back the facial hair which grows in proportions liked unto old Hollywood Werewolf depictions. The girls still hold onto hope that despite their current afflictions they will be able to someday overcome this disorder and marry. The current plan is for the girls to raise $4,500 pounds each to pay for laser hair removal to cure the disorder.

We never know when our last moment will come, or how we will impact those that are left behind. A recent event in Australia gives the mind the opportunity to think outside the box.

Brisbane resident Gerry Wells was traveling to Sydney to visit family on January 9th, 2012. At this same time, Russell Eldridge, a former editor of the Northern Star, took a breathtaking picture of some clouds over Ocean Shores.

This was no ordinary picture though, the clouds portrayed the facial image of a man that was eerily similar to Gerry Wells who would die two weeks later.

His family was taken aback by the resemblance and used Mr. Eldridge’s picture on the funeral notice.

Call it faith, or sheer coincidence, but, I like to think that this is a little reminder that they are greater powers at work in the universe than the imaginations of the mind.

Failing a field sobriety test when pulled over for a DUI may never look the same again.

Maureen Jane Raymond of Florida claims that she was too top heavy to complete the field sobriety test properly. She was arrested by the Port St. Lucie police after failing the test.

Raymond’s claim that her breasts were too big and caused her to fail the test is not likely to get her free of the charge.

She claims that big breasts mean you cannot balance well. Raymond will have to make her claim before a judge because police have not dropped the charges against her.

A Romanian model with a Barbie doll-like figure insists her 20-inch waist comes naturally and not as a result of dieting. Ioana Spangenberg has been called a “human hourglass” by the British media because of her tiny waist. With a bust as well as hips that measure 32-inches, Ioana has a figure that makes her stand out, often uncomfortably.

In Romania, she has pointed out, being thin was seen as a sign that her family was not wealthy. While her friends were out on dates, she would often sit home eating in hopes of gaining weight. She was not comfortable with her looks until she met and married her husband, Jan. He encouraged her to pose for photos which ultimately led her to her modelling career.

Temptation Better Than Passion On Super Sunday

On a Sunday that was super for more reasons than one, the Los Angeles Temptation defeated the Philadelphia Passion in convincing fashion, 28-6. The victory marked the third consecutive title for the Temptation, once again giving the city of Los Angeles a reason to be proud.

Lingerie Bowl IX was full of big hits and defense as the Temptation flexed their slender yet powerful muscles on defense en route to a performance that any team on any level would be very proud of. Tessa Barrera anchored another strong defensive effort as the Temptation stymied the Passion’s offensive attack by putting pressure on Christy Bell all evening long, forcing the incredibly athletic and attractive quarterback to scramble often and make many of her throws on the run.

The game capped another successful season for the league, which airs on MTV2 and has shown a steady increase in popularity in recent years.

Has the bacon craze gone too far or is it just beginning? Jack In The Box has started selling bacon milk shakes, following in the foot steps of Denny’s from last year when they offered bacon flavored sundaes.

A source within the company says that it will not be available for long. And when pressed to find out just what it is made out of they admitted that it is not made with real bacon but a bacon flavored syrup. There will be no finding of flavorful bacon chunks in your shakes.

Most people who have tried it so far have said that it is not as bad as it may sound. It has a pleasant, creamy flavor that has a coffee like after taste. Despite the lack of real bacon Jack In The Box thinks this shake will be a hit with bacon lovers everywhere.

Prisoner Pulls Year-Long Pig Prank on Police

An inmate in Vermont has gotten the last laugh, at least for now.

During a recent vehicle inspection, a police officer began to take special notice of the 16-inch car decal attached to his cruiser. The decal, which displays a beautiful painted scene of a spotted cow, a pine tree, and snow-covered mountains, was a little off. One of the spots in the cow had been deformed, giving off the definite appearance of a pig.

After careful investigation, 30 cruisers were found to display the pig. According to officials, police have had these prank decals on their vehicles for approximately one year before anyone took notice.

The pig, which is a slang term for a police officer, was apparently added by an inmate at Windsor where the decals were made. At this time, the offender is not known.

While many bystanders find the prank hilarious, officers are not happy. Not only do they find the pig offensive, but warn the public that replacement decals will cost tax payers around $780 a piece.

Blurry Sonar Images Create Buzz Over Underwater UFOs

Peter Lindbergh believes his crew of commercial divers might have discovered an underwater UFO resembling the Millennium Falcon, deep in the Baltic Sea. Lindbergh’s team has made several passes over the wreckage during the past couple of weeks.

The team’s first find was a cylinder-shaped wreck that measured almost 200 feet in diameter with a tail more than 1300 feet long. A second wreck was found approximately 650 feet from the first.

The sonar technology used in the search combined with the ocean waves, temperature, and depth make it difficult to guess as to the identify of the underwater UFO buried more than 250 feet below the surface.

Lindbergh’s crew is expected to return to the two wrecks when conditions improve later this year.
