Researchers conducted a study on over 4000 women all suffering from the disease. What they found was that those taking the aspirin seemed to combat the disease much better than those who did not take the aspirin. The study conducted by Harvard Medical School lasted 26 years and followed the same women throughout the study. Doctors believe that the anti-inflammatory properties of the aspirin are what helped the women in their recovery. Further studies are needed.

While doctors are not condoning the use of aspirin as part of the treatment routine yet, they are considering the possibilities that this may enhance current medical options for women. A simple breakthrough like this could lead to many women conquering this devastating disease. Other studies conducted about breast cancer have shown that women who regularly use aspirin have a lower risk of getting the disease. Now researchers believe that it may also help women who have the disease prevent it from spreading.

The estranged wife of Brian David Mitchell, Barzee  is charged with kidnapping and coercion of a minor with intent to engage in sexual activity for allegedly taking Smart to California from Utah, the Salt Lake City Deseret News reported.

The plea deal was referenced in a filing Monday by U.S. District Court Judge Dale Kimball, who said “Wanda Barzee will be arraigned and is anticipated to enter into a guilty plea pursuant to an agreement with the United States.”

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Utah declined to comment, as did other lawyers in the case. Elizabeth Smart’s father, Ed, also declined to comment at the request of federal prosecutors, but told Fox 13’s Ben Winslow: “We’re happy with what’s happening in the case.”

Barzee and Mitchell, were charged by the U.S. government in 2008.

On Nov. 30, Mitchell is to undergo a 10-day competency hearing on his federal charges.

Five year-old Shaniya Davis was found dead in an area near Highway 87 south and Walker Road, just south of Sanford.

Shaniya Davis was last seen alive at the Comfort Suites hotel in Sanford last week, the morning her mother Antoinette reported her missing from their Fayetteville home. The surveillance video from the Comfort Suites hotel showed Shaniya being carried by Mario McNeill, 29.

The police located little Shanyia’s body just seven miles from the hotel, according to the AP.

“We were hoping that someone could carry her home,” said Syd Severe, 42, a volunteer who came from Raleigh to help with the search. “It’s just sick.”

The girls mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, was charged last week with human trafficking and child abuse involving prostitution.

According to arrest documents cited by The Fayetteville Observer, Davis “knowingly provide Shaniya Davis with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude” and she “permit an act of prostitution.”

Authorities also charged Mario Andrette McNeill, 29, with kidnapping.

Other charges for the pair are likely pending.

His lawyer says that Garrido’s mental state is still very much in question.

“Mr. Garrido is expressing genuine remorse. He would like people to consider the fact that he’s a changed man and his story is best told all at one time, instead of in pieces. He presents obvious issues concerning whether or not he is competent to be a defendant, and we are looking into that,” said his attorney, Public Defender Susan Gellman, in a telephone interview Thursday evening from St. Petersburg, Fla.

Garrido remains in custody at the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville as he and wife Nancy Garrido await trial on multiple charges each. They’ve pleaded not guilty.

“To me, this almost rises to the level of what psychologists would call a partial apology. It’s almost like he’s saying, ‘I have a problem, and what I did was a problem.’ But he’s certainly not taking full responsibility for his actions,” said Donna Shestowsky, a law professor at UC Davis with a PhD in psychology.

The kidnapping of Jaycee Lee Dugard took place on June 10, 1991. Dugard was abducted from a school bus stop within sight of her home in South Lake Tahoe, California, United States.

Phillip Garrido Says "Sorry" in New Letter

The Arkansas court found him guilty of child abuse and transporting girls across state lines. Alamo whose real name is Bernie Hoffman was busted in 2008 for transporting five girls across the state line. He was arrested at his 15 acre estate in Texarkana, Arkansas. The charges go all the way back to 1994.

He is believed to abused girls as young as eight years old. Only three of the five girls filed official complaints against Alamo, who is 75 years old. Alamo was fined $250,000 as well. He is due in court in January 2010 for a judge to determine if he must pay the victims any restitution.

Alamo claims he is innocent, and the charges are made up. He claims to love children, and that he would never do anything to hurt any child. His lawyer has filed an appeal.

One woman who Alamo took as a child bride at the age of eight, spoke out in  court on Friday.

“You preyed on innocent children,” she said, staring down Mr. Alamo, who wore yellow prison scrubs and a windbreaker for the hearing.

“You have the audacity to ask for mercy,” she said. “What mercy did you show us?”

On July 24, 2009 Alamo was convicted in the Federal District Court for the Western District of Arkansas, sitting in Texarkana, Arkansas, on 10 counts of Interstate Transportation of Minors for Illegal Sexual Purposes, Rape, Sexual Assault and Contributing to the Delinquency of Minors, according to Wikipedia.

Evangelist Alamo Sentenced To 175 Years In Prison

According to NASA scientists the frozen water was found as a result of last month’s exciting experiment that sent two spacecraft crashing into the moon’s surface.

While one  rocket slammed into the permanently shadowed Cabeus crater near the moon’s southern pole,the second rocket found water present in samples taken from the plume of material that billowed up from the bottom of the crater after the impact, reports abc.net.au.

“We’re unlocking the mysteries of our nearest neighbor and by extension the solar system. It turns out the moon harbors many secrets, and LCROSS has added a new layer to our understanding,” said Michael Wargo, chief lunar scientist at NASA Headquarters in Washington.

“We are ecstatic,” said Anthony Colaprete, LCROSS project scientist and principal investigator at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif. “Multiple lines of evidence show water was present in both the high angle vapor plume and the ejecta curtain created by the LCROSS Centaur impact. The concentration and distribution of water and other substances requires further analysis, but it is safe to say Cabeus holds water.”

Michael Wargo, chief lunar scientist at NASA headquarters in Washington, said the discovery holds promise for future exploration. Using solar energy, future astronauts could, in theory, break down recovered ice and in effect live off the land.

“Water can be used for the kind of things we think about every day, drinking water if we have extended crews on the surface,” he said. “You can break it down and have breathable air for crews to breathe. But also, if you have significant quantities of this stuff, water really is the constituents of one of the most potent rocket fuels: oxygen and hydrogen.”

Cadillac Fairview, who owns more than 25 malls in Canada, will roll out apps for their other malls if this newest adventure is successful.

Dion’s husband Rene Angelil has confirmed to the Journal de Montreal that his wife is not pregnant.

The implanted embryo didn’t take. Angelil said “Both us and our doctors believed that the procedure/pregnancy took, but that wasn’t the case. We found out some days later. We were shocked. We are living the reality of the majority of couples who have to use [IVF]. The process can be long and arduous. But today, we are full of confidence. Celine is more determined than ever.”

Dion, 41, and Angelil, 67, have been married since 1994 and have an eight year-old son named Rene-Charles, also conceived through in vitro.

The couple have tried in vitro twice for their second child and are now headed to New York this weekend to see if the third time proves lucky.

Trio Lady Antebellum nabbed two awards for single and vocal group. Rascal Flatts had been a long time favorite taking the vocal group category for the past six years.

Darius Tucker proved his singing talent could conquer country music hearts and snagged the award for new artist. He will also go down in the books for being the first black artist to win in this category.

Fan favorite Sugarland took home the award for vocal duo for the third year in a row.

Brad Paisley only won two awards, including male vocalist, after leading the nominations in seven categories. Musical event of the year was awarded to Paisley and Keith Urban for their duet “Start a Band.”

Timid newcomer Jamey Johnson went home with the award for song of the year “In Color,” co-written with James Otto and Lee Thomas.
