Kirstie Alley is once again on a diet program. The actress, famous for her weight loss and gain roller coaster ride, has again embarked upon a diet program. This time, she is approaching it a bit differently. The new diet program, called “Alley’s Organic Liaison”, embraces three supplements that are said to cleanse the body of toxins as well as curb cravings. One of Kirstie Alley’s biggest down falls in dieting has been her cravings.

Linked to the controversial Scientology religion (which was founded by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbrd and focuses on natural ways to cure mental and physical illnesses) , Kirstie claims that there is absolutely no link between her religion and her new diet program in spite of the fact that the company headquarters just happen to be in the same building facility as the Church of Scientology offices. Additionally, Kirstie claims that her accountant, is a Scientology Jew and the headquarters utilize his address.

According to speculation, the company was started in an effort to funnel money into the well known religious sect. Kirstie remains steadfast in denying the allegations and states that she is too cheap to give the church that kind of money.

Kirstie Alley’s public weight loss battle is making headlines again. This time her new diet is being linked to the controversial Scientology religion. Although she is a Scientologist, she is not usually as outspoken as some of her other famous friends and practicing Scientologists Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

Her new reality show focuses on her latest struggle to lose weight, her self-proclaimed healthy, normal, happy children and her new weight loss program which she helped develop. The new program is called Alley’s Organic Liaison. It involves three supplements that cleanse the body and curb cravings. Cravings are one of Alley’s biggest hang-ups she tells interviewer Meredith Vieira.

The company headquarters happens to be in the same building as the Scientology offices. Alley vehemently denies any link between her religion and her diet program. She claims her accountant is a Scientology Jew and that the address is his. Many speculate, she started the company to funnel money into the religious sect. She scoffs at the rumor and states, she is too cheap to give them that kind of money.

Scientology was founded by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard and focuses on natural methods to cure everything from mental illness to real illnesses.

PepsiCo is the world’s number two soft drink maker. It has pledged to remove its full-sugared drinks from schools worldwide by 2012. This withdrawal will affect around 200 countries. This is the first time a company, not being under compulsion, is withdrawing its product and has admitted that sugary drinks might not be the most healthy drink choices for children or adults.

In 2006, PepsiCo and the number one soda maker Coca Cola had agreed to remove their sugary drinks from all U.S. schools. Health groups have been attacking various companies, claiming that the sugar is contributing to obesity and the rise in Diabetes.

Earlier this month, Coke said that it would only sell its sugary colas in secondary schools but would withdraw them from elementary schools worldwide. Coke and Pepsi have both been working on tasty water drinks as replacements for the sodas being withdrawn from the schools.

Soda companies are under attack in New York and elsewhere, where taxes of a few cents are being proposed on their sodas. In this case it is not concern for the health of the children. It is the need for states to tax anything and everything to gain funds for their enormous state deficits.

Actress Kirstie Alley is promoting a new weight loss program she has designed herself. Alley has publicly battled with her weight for years. After leaving the limelight for several years to focus on motherhood, Alley gained weight and was criticized in the tabloids. She became a spokesperson for Jenny Craig and lost 75 pounds. However, Alley has gained back all of the weight she lost and is ready to try to shed the pounds again with her own weight loss program.

“Organic Liaison” is Alley’s own diet program that she has created. It is based on organic foods, vitamins, and supplements that are designed to suppress appetite and rid the body of toxins. The program focuses on calorie counting and costs five dollars a day to join, or $1,700 a year. Alley has already lost 20 pounds from “Organic Liaisons”.

There is much speculation that the program is tied to Scientology, as the program’s address is the same as some Scientology offices, and the executives of the program are all top-ranking Scientologists. Alley, who is also a high-ranking Scientologist, denies the program is tied in with the religion. She claims the address is actually her accountant’s office in Clearwater, Florida.

It has been recently found that Bananas are rich in a sugary protein called BanLec, a Lectin which attaches to the HIV Envelope and protects the body from being able to get the virus through sexual transmission. It clings to the binding of the sugar rich HIV envelope when it enters the body and does not let go. It would take several mutations for the virus to get loose from the Lectins, which by that time, your body would have grown immune to that certain strand from the BanLec in your system.

BanLec has had such a huge success in preventing the transmission of HIV that there are many countries considering using it as an injection that would go right into the anus or vagina and could protect a person for up to three years. Another possibility, although not as popular due to the lack of condom use, is to add it to the spermicide already in condoms, this would make them more effective at not only killing sperm but also in the prevention of, at least HIV if not other STDs, something that has never been done before. It has also been said that the power of the BanLec is twice as strong as many of the antiviral HIV medications that are given to patients currently.

There is a link between being impotent and heart disease. Researchers have found a relationship between the two but have not come to a conclusion yet.

The researchers have reported men who have been diagnosed impotent and have heart disease are more likely to die before other men with heart disease that are not impotent. They have almost twice the risk of dying or have a heart attack.

The medical research team stated drugs to help impotency can cover up the signs and symptoms of heart disease. The man taking medicine for impotency can be blind to the facts he has heart problems. The drugs made by Pfizer, Eli Lilly, and other manufacturers used in treating impotency and rectile problems are the main drugs that can cover up symptoms of heart disease.

Men who have impotency issues should have full physicals including cardial to determine if they have any heart conditions. If you catch the problem of heart disease earlier you can lower your risk of heart attack or death.

Erectile problems and impotency are both medical problems that should be looked into. If these problems are not diagnosed and treated they could lead to more serious problems including life ending illnesses.

The number of foods being recalled due to contaminated hydrolyzed vegetable protein paste or HVP has increased dramatically. The FDA first issued the recall in a joint effort with Canadian officials after salmonella bacteria was discovered in a Las Vegas plant upon inspection.

HPV is used to flavor ready-to-eat foods like canned soups, vegetables, dressings and thousands of other products. Basic Foods Inc is the only plant that has been linked to this bacteria contamination at this point. However, they supply a number of different brands including large grocery store chains like Wal-Mart and Safeway. Canadian officials have linked eight brand names to the Basic Foods Inc thus far.

The products that are contaminated with the deadly salmonella bacteria date back to September of 2009. The company discovered the salmonella on January 21st but continued to distribute the toxic goods through February.

There have been no reported illnesses as of yet but consumers are advised to throw away the products immediately. Young children, elderly and those with weakened immune systems are more susceptible to this particular bacteria. The danger is increased because the foods involved with this recall are ready-to-eat meaning, there is no cooking involved. High heat will usually kill the bacteria.

Smokin’? When teenagers were asked to choose their favorite cigarette ad, 22% of the girls aged 12 through 16, interviewed for a study that appeared online yesterday in the journal Pediatrics, picked a marketing campaign for Camel No. 9 cigarettes.

Camel No. 9 cigarettes targeted female smokers right from the start. After the brand was introduced by R.J. Reynolds in 2007, it was aggressively promoted with a series of branded party events in clubs and bars around the country where women could come for free cigarettes, massages and swag bags containing berry-flavored lip balm, cellphone jewelry, purses and wristbands. A marketing campaign in the pages of such upscale magazines as Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Glamour soon followed.

These print ads were pulled in 2008, says David Howard, a spokesman for R.J. Reynolds, noting that teen smoking rates continued to fall even after the Camel No. 9 ad campaign was introduced.

But co-author John Pierce of the Moores Cancer Center at the University of California-San Diego points out that teens, who don’t smoke but who can identify cigarette ads, run a 50% higher risk of developing the habit. About 80% of all smokers smoked their first cigarette before the age of 18.

Doctors are advised to look deeper into a man’s health before prescribing medications to increase sexual function. Standard protocol requires doctors to label these men as heart patients until blood tests and a cardiologist rule otherwise. Men suffering from ED are likely to have the early stage of heart disease or other heart related issues. Those experiencing ED are twice as likely to suffer a heart attack than those who do not have ED issues.

A new study provides better understanding about something doctors have actually known for years. The early stage of heart disease begins showing symptoms in a man’s penis because the arteries are much smaller than those surrounding the heart. Dr. Robert Kloner a cardiologist at USC believes men may notice ED approximately three to four years before the cardiovascular disease symptoms begin.

The study was conducted by researchers at Germany’s Saarland University and led by cardiologist Dr. Michael Bohm. The findings have been published in the Monday edition of Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D) Ohio is holding fast to his beliefs concerning the Obama Health Plan. He will vote nay on the plan, even after arm twisting on the part of President Obama. He voted against the plan the first time around as well. Congressman Kucinich appears to be a rare politician who votes his conscience. Some people wonder if Congress even has a conscience.

Not even a ride on Air Force One with the President, who was heading to Ohio, convinced Kucinich to switch sides and support the President. President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi need every vote, it is that close on the Health Bill. But, Kucinich is sticking to his guns that this plan is nothing short of a sellout to the Health Care industry.

When appearing with Obama on the platform, the crowd implored Congressman Kucinich to vote yes and this was reinforced immediately after by the President. Kucinich has not officially said no, but it would be a surprise if the Ohio congressman changed his mind to support the President.

Congressman Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the few breaths of fresh air in Congress that vote their conscience. If only more were like them, the country might have fewer problems.
