Astronaut Janice Voss Dies From Cancer at 55

Former astronaut Janice Voss has passed away from breast cancer in Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of 55. Voss joined NASA in 1973 while attending Purdue University and began working for NASA in 1977 as an instructor. Two 17-year old Canadian teenagers, Mathew Ho and Asad Muhammad, crafted a weather balloon and sent a plastic astronaut made of Lego pieces into space.
