First of all, the article is ill-timed. The fact of the matter is, there are plenty of players with real talent (John Abraham and Ahmad Bradshaw to name a couple, and even if you want to look at QBs alone, I’d take Matt Leinart, Tyler Thigpen or Trent Edwards as a backup before I looked at Tebow) and track records of many positions available right now. Tebow was only recently released, so just because nobody jumped and grabbed him is really not surprising.

Simple fact of the matter is that the Brocons won in spite of Tebow and not because of him. The many “comebacks” that the Brocons were lauded for, was because the DEFENSE made it possible. The “Te-BOW” came into being because he had to pray the defense could bail his pathetic *** out and give them another chance.

They blame the “circus” for Tebow’s problems, but it is the only reason that anybody is even paying attention… at all. Otherwise he would have quietly gone away without the stop in New York, and nobody would have cared. He would have landed in the land of guys like Cade McNown, Danny Kanell, Todd Marinovich,and Dave Brown and nobody would have given it a second thought.

The fact that Kyle Orton, Jimmy Claussen and even Ryan Lindly and even Derek Anderson still have jobs should tell you all you need to know about the talents of Tim Tebow.

Simple fact of the matter is, nobody would be upset with having to deal with the “circus” that comes with Tebow, if they felt he was worth it as a player… but nobody does.

Sounds plenty “smart”, whatever I.Q. you want to infer.
