Orlando (eCanadaNow) - The U.S. woman convicted for her role as the leader of a Washington DC escort agency, Deborah Jean Palfrey, has been found dead in Florida. The DC Madam committed suicide.
Palfrey was found dead as she hung herself in a shed next to her mother's house in Florida.
Back on April 15, she was convicted of running a huge prostitution ring, as well as mail fraud and money laundering.
Many top officials in Washington used the escort service, including Sen. David Vitter.
She faced up to 55-years in jail but was free until she was sentenced on July 24.
She did leave a suicide note, but the details of the note were not revealed.
