Palin Makes Pity Claims In New Book

In her book, due to be released Tuesday, Sarah Palin claims that a McCain camp Aide cajoled her into the interview with Catie Couric. Palin claims that Nicole Wallace talked her into the interview by implying that the interview would help Couric’s ratings.

She says Wallace hinted that Catie Couric’s ratings were down, and that the news anchor was having an issue with low self-esteem. Palin, knowing that Couric is a working mother, agreed to the interview out of pity, she says.

In her book “Going Rogue” Palin says that the interview was one sided, and that Catie Couric treated her opponent, Joe Biden, to far easier questioning. Also stating that her more substantial remarks were left on the editing room floor in favor for the “gotcha” moments that was aired.

In an interview with Oprah, Palin said that she knew that the interview was not going well at the end of segment 1, but that the McCain advisers said that all was ok, and to continue with the interview, so the remaining segments were shot.
