Kellogg Co. says there will be a nationwide shortage of its popular Eggo frozen waffles.
Kellogg’s, blames the short supply on flooding that hit an Atlanta processing facility in September, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The company says the shortage willl likely last well into next year.
“The Eggo team is working around the clock to bring everyone’s favorite waffles back to store shelves as quickly as possible. We hope to regain full distribution of Eggo products by the middle of 2010,” the company says on the Eggo Web site. “This is a top priority for Kellogg Company.”
Waffle lovers are already feeling the shortage.
“We have eight of them, and if we ration those , maybe have half an Eggo in one sitting , then it’ll last longer,” said Resciniti, who blogs about being a mother. “I told my husband that maybe I need to put them on eBay.”

Shortage? So what? You can make it yourself. It’s sad our society has to eat everything on earth that can either be nuked or toasted in seconds.
How much brains does it take to make a waffle? This is indeed a sad commentary on our society. Are we so incapable of self care that we must depend on others to manufacture all of our food??
Michael, you’re kind of an idiot. The shortage is due the massive flooding event in Atlanta that crippled a processing facility…
