People In Connecticut Fear Hawk


A hawk is attacking children as well as adults in a small shoreline town in Connecticut. The town of Stonington has been under attack by a swooping red – tailed hawk. The hawk has been protecting his territory in the area of Shawandassee Drive. Red – tailed hawks are a very territorial bird and have a vast territory. The bird has been attacking citizens of Stonington sending one to the hospital. Kathy Baker was attacked by the swooping hawk and was checked out at the local hospital. It was a precautionary measure for a scratch she suffered.

The area school has been notified about the incidents that have happened. The children have been warned about the red – tailed hawk that has been flying over the neighborhood. Some children have been seen running home so the bird does not attack them.

The red – tailed hawk is a bird of prey. There beak is hard and sharp. They have talons that are very sharp as well and can be damaging to the skin and flesh of its victims. A bird of prey can become excessively aggressive and attack at will. The Environmental Protection Agency has been notified and will assist in solving the dilemma.
