An unlikely patient wandered into the ER at a hospital in Farmington New Mexico.
The automatic doors at the emergency room opened up and a wounded dog went in.
This incident happened at the San Juan Medical Center in Farmington.
The dog was mostly German shepherd with other breeds mixed in. The dog did not seem like a threat when he came through the door. He must have been intelligent to know where to go when wounded.
The dog had minor injuries with a puncture hole in one leg. He also had blood on his nose and on a paw. It appeared the dog was in a fight with another dog when the German shepherd was injured.
The hospital called animal control to take care of the matter. animal control agent Robin Loev respondent to the scene. Loev examined the wound and believes it happened from another dog. Loev took the animal to the Farmington Animal Shelter and later it was claimed by the owner. The dog and owner were happy to be reunited.
There are not many times that an incident like this ends in a happy way. To many dogs like this are abandoned and have no home.
