Something insane happened at a Wal-Mart store in New Jersey. As if the company did not have enough lawsuits and is already distrusted by some minorities; something further happened in that state, to tarnish the reputation of Wal-Mart.
“Attention Walmart customers: All black people leave the store now.” This was the announcement from a male voice Sunday night in a Wal-Mart store in southern New Jersey. On Wednesday Wal-Mart made profuse apologies over the incident.
After the incident, a manager got on the public address system and immediately apologized. In Bentonville, Arkansas, at the company headquarters, an investigation is under way. It is not yet yet known if it was a rogue employee or a customer.
There have been several past incidents of Black people claiming they have been mistreated at various Wal-Mart stores. Women have also complained about discrimination, while working for Wal-Mart. The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) said that Wal-Mart has been making strides in being fair to minorities and Black people.
The reaction of some customers was that it was a horrible thing that happened. Others shrugged it off as a “sick prank.” These things do happen. Chances are that the incident was carried out by a “disgruntled employee.”
I find it pretty funny. I find the overreaction to the prank even more funny. A “sick prank” and a “horrible thing”? Oh please, grow up.

@ Nod , it takes a very petty person to find this funny. Im not even black and this bothers me. Its wrong no matter how you look at it, and walmart is to big to have suck a lapse in security.
i am not black. i do not find this funny. as a former walmart employee with many black friends AND a BLACK GIRLFRIEND, i think this is stupid and the person should be locked up. if i was still working at walmart, and i had come home after working a shift only to find out that something like this has happened. i would have quit out of respect for my lover. this was stupid. and i will not be shopping at walmart until or even after walmart makes a formal apology. this is an outrage
anyone that tries to pin this on walmart is an example of pitty. it was wrong to say but no harm has been done. im bald, if someone said all bald guys need to leave the store… big woop. yea yea, there is history behind african people in the united states but that was a very long time ago…everyone needs to get over it. my best friend of 7 years is black and i am not racest but the differense is he would think it was funny just as i thought it was funny. Lets see how pethetic the people are trying to sue walmart for a dime.
It’s funny how you assume you must be able to see this perspective from a black person’s point of view. I can see how pathetic it would be to sue. I am not in the least surprised about how people are reacting about not going to Wal-Mart. I don’t care whether or not your racist. The fact of the matter is they didn’t ask for bald people to get out they asked for black people. I don’t care if you think it’s funny the fact of the matter is a majority of black people don’t.
bull! such a thing could happen within any storefront, big or small! and really its not that big of a deal, and am shocked it has made headlines..I am not racist, yet I am stereotypical…and personally have been so frustrated to the point that I make generalizations on multiple races. Like today, there was a hugee swarm of AA teens in my local mall…like prob 8 or 9, and they were being soo loud and making fun of anything that moved..and laughing at it..sometimes I think they just laugh to fit in or something. I got frustrated and made a generalization against black people, that they were all loud and rude..however I soon went and visited a black friend shortly after. So really, move on.
It’s possible that it’s so absurd that it’s funny. What if it was something else? “All fat people leave the store.” “All white people leave the store.” As long as black people are committed to being marginalized they will continue to be. Remember there’s a black president in the White House. They must stand up and ignore this act.
I agree what if they had said “All white people need to leave the store”? Everybody would have thought it was funny then. This would not have been blown out of proportion. Why should Walmart have to suffer from the stupid actions of other people, they condone this kind of behavior. I was fired for cussing in the parking lot on my break. If it was an employee they were certainly fired.
Black people really need to move on with there lives. I know what happened to their ANCESTORS was wrong. Nothing has been done to modern day AFRICAN AMERICANS time to pull up our big girl panties and move on.
All I can say to this is that your obviously not black and that you obviously haven’t walked down a street in South. People still do that shit. Don’t act like you know exactly what goes on in everywhere.

When Walmart was first upon the retail scene. NO Black ,Hispanic, or ethnic group of any origin was passed over as enployable by them.
They have done Nothing Wrong. A NON employee made the remark.
And I agree it was Not very nice, But I also believe in My heart; If the remark would have had the word White used in place of the word Black.
Ther would have been No big Traumatic, and exagerated World News report of the whole event.
Sam Walton Greww up in the Time when Black People; Were refered to with the “N” word, and Most likely used it quite often Himself. But later on as the term became such a “Vastly recognized foul against Humanity Thing” that it is today Most wise peoplr stopped using it. There has been Way too much said about this already.
