Parents have a lot to worry about when it comes to the internet.

Social networking, like Myspace and Facebook, provide plenty of avenues for trouble and teenagers.

A new phenomenon has struck teens, and it is called “Sextortion.”

Teens often send nude pictures of themselves through cell phones and email, otherwise known as “sexting.” Pornographers can get their hands on these pictures, and then blackmail a teen into posing for more explicit pornographic poses.

Often, the threats are often of disclosure to the teens friends and family.

Should any teen find themselves being sextorted, instead of complying to the blackmailer’s demands, they should contact authorities immediately.
