Massachusetts Deli Displays Rare Orange Lobsters
Lobster lovers are flocking to the Fresh Seafood Catch and Deli in Mansfield, Massachusetts to catch a glimpse of the very rare orange lobsters on display at the restaurant.
Deli owner Bill Sarro says that six of the unusually colored creatures were recently discovered in a 100 pound delivery to the restaurant from Canada.
Experts at the New England Aquarium say the chances of finding even one orange lobster is one in 10 million.
“One in 10 million? It doesn’t get much better than that,” Sarro said. “It has been unbelievable.”
Fresh Catch, owner Bill Sarro said since the strange discovery, he’s been bombarded with attention.
“They were filming a movie with Kate Winslet a mile away, but more people came here,” said Sarro. “It’s great for business.”
Sarro is housing the two males and four females in the Catch’s seafood tank but has no intention of selling them, hoping they will draw even more customers who enjoy seeing these rare pumpkin-colored sea creatures.
