U.S. Funeral Home to Sell Starbucks Coffee

It seems that a family-owned funeral home in Easly, South Carolina, is ahead of the game. The Robinson Funeral Home will offer something that no other funeral home has, and it may start a new trend in bereavement services.

A Starbucks coffee shop, where visitors can relax and get a reprieve from their stress, will be opened. The relaxing atmosphere of the coffee shop will be a respectful distance from the main viewing and visitors’ area.

Owner Chris Robinson, tells WSPA-TV that it is just one more service for the grief-stricken.

“If this provides them a little escape, gives them a break from the stress they are going through, that’s what its all about — to make them feel a little better,” he tells the TV station.

Starbucks will be on site to provide the machines and training, but the funeral home will hire their own employees.
