Spielberg’s $200 Milion Yacht A-List Party Site
When Hollywood mogul Steven Spielberg served as president of the Cannes Film Festival jury this year, he didn’t make a reservation at any of the local luxury hotels.
He opted instead to stay aboard the “Seven Seas”, his $200 million yacht where he located his film festival headquarters. The luxury sailing vessel, which is almost 300 feet in length, can accommodate a crew of 26 sailors along with a dozen guests.
The large master stateroom which Spielberg occupies comes complete with a Jacuzzi, a deck, study, and outdoor terrace.
Spielberg’s yacht also comes equipped with a swimming pool featuring one wall that doubles as a screen for viewing movies.
To help feel pampered, the “Seven Seas” also features a gymnasium, a massage parlor and a full spa. Visitors can gain access to the yacht while it is not anchored at shore by helicopter since the vessel features a helipad for take-offs and landings.
There were rumors that Spielberg intended to view all of the Cannes film entries in the private screening room aboard his yacht, but past jury president and actor Robert DeNiro encouraged Spielberg to get the full benefit of movie enjoyment by seeing them in a real theatre instead.
Now it seems as though the famed director wants to recoup some of his impressive investment – he’s offering the ultra-luxurious yacht for charter at $1.3 million per week. That makes it the world’s most expensive yacht charter, leaving the likes of P. Diddy and Simon Cowell’s crafts in the dust.
