LAS VEGAS, Nev. – At the 2013 American Country Awards at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, female NASCAR racer Danica Patrick surprised viewers by donning a Vegas showgirl outfit, fitting for the location. Patrick was co-hosting the awards show alongside country singer Trace Adkins, which aired live yesterday on FOX.

Patrick, who appeared in country singer and winner for Female Artist of the Year Miranda Lambert’s music video for “Fastest Girl in Town”, performed a dance routine with other similarly dressed dancers. She then joked onstage about her outfit, which had orange and pink feathers and a nude colored bodysuit, saying, “The good thing about me is that there’s no chance of a wardrobe malfunction there’s not much to malfunction!” She then followed that comment up, winking, with “I hope that little bit didn’t fall flat.” Arguably, the real show-stealer was when her co-host Adkins dressed up in the exact same getup and kept the laughs going following Patrick’s appearance in the costume, singing a bit of “I Feel Pretty”. The duo then performed a routine after a performance by Darius Rucker and Sheryl Crow that handled really well.
