Edward vs. Jacob – Years of Experience vs. Muscle and Passion
As buzz begins to rise at the anticipation of the next installation of the Twilight series, “New Moon”, hitting theaters this November 2009, it is time to ask ourselves whose side are you on. Edward clearly was the victor of Stephanie Meyer’s adapted book “Twilight” but as pictures are emerging featuring Jacob with rippling muscles and hard rock abs, one begs to ask; who will win the battle in “New Moon” and take Bella has their trophy?
In “New Moon”, Jacob has an opportunity to comfort a very heart broken Bella, becoming her best friend and reason to live since Edward has left her all alone. What’s more, Jacob takes the heroic lead by protecting Bella from the vampires who are still lurking around Forks and Bella begins to, for the first time ever, question her love for Edward and considers a possible future with Jacob.
If pure physicality were the defining element, my bet would be with Jacob. Since “Twilight” aired, Jacob has grown a few inches in every aspect of his body and has developed a new founded confidence, far from the long haired stuttering Jacob we knew. In fact, now that Jacob has turned werewolf, it would be quite an interesting match to see who would come out the winner; would Edward’s smarts and years of experience or Jacob’s pure force and passion win?
“New Moon” will allow us to see a new side of Jacob while Edward slithers away abandoning who he claims to be his one true love. Is Edward being heroic by trying to protect Bella from the dangers associated with him or is he cowardly leaving her to be swept up by Jacob? There is only one way to find out, see “New Moon” coming to theaters soon.

Agreed with HPfan. Pattinson looks like a stoned homeless man. Lautner is a MILLION times better looking, plus he doesn’t smoke like Rob.

I have to say…that I am “team edward” but I also liked Jacob a lot in New Moon. he was really sweet but I don’t think Taylor Lautner should have been cast as him. Sure he got muscles now, but he looks way too young and not enough red indian looking. Edwards abs are AMAZING. Love Robert Pattinson! <3
