According to Variety, Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber are both set to star in “A View From the Bridge”, a Broadway play from Gregory Mosher who directed “A Streetcar Named Desire” starring Jessica Lange and Alec Baldwin back in 1992.
This will be Johansson first time on Broadway while Schreiber starred in “Talk Radio” in 2007, and won a Tony award for his role in “Glengarry Glen Ross” in 2005.
“A View From the Bridge” revolves around a longshoreman from Brooklyn (Schreiber) who becomes romantically obsessed with his 17 year-old orphaned niece (Johansson).
The play will run for 14 weeks in New York City beginning on January 24.
Johansson most recently starred in “He’s Just Not That Into You” and just wrapped up filming “Iron Man 2”.
