you’ve got it wrong – Jasper is the older vampire as he was changed in the american civil War. He finds it harder than the others to control his thirst as he only stopped drinking human blood for Alice when they met in the ’50s. He is therefore, NOT newly changed.
Any real fan of Twilight would know this.
