Rihanna will speak out for the first time since being assaulted by former boyfriend Chris Brown.

The singer will appear on Good Morning America this Thursday in her first interview since the February attack.

“This happened to me. … It can happen to anyone,” the singer, 21, tells Diane Sawyer.

Rihanna said the situation was even more difficult because Brown with her first love.

“He was definitely my first big love,” said the singer.

Brown was sentenced to five years probation and six months community service in August over the attack.

Rihanna’s new album Rated R hits stores November 23rd.
