Dexter opened with the Trinity Killer singing in church. While recapping on the killers life he recognizes all of the makings of a normal life, apart from the killing.

On the home front Rita is still angry about Dexter’s inability to give up his apartment. Due to his lack of commitment she has asked him to go to couples counseling with her. During the couples therapy Dexter has a hard time putting effort into the session. This angers Rita Further and she mentions his drug addiction and affair. In a separate session Dexter shares his need for a storage space and also admits his fear of being left by Rita. In a compromise Rita let Dexter have a shed in the backyard.

Meanwhile the Trinity Killer who identifies himself as Arthur has finished his latest murder. Which occurred in the place Lundy thought it might. While at the scene of the crime Dexter struggles to keep from volunteering information about the identity of the Killer and tries to hide to evidence bag.

Once the bag is evaluated by Masuke it is found to contain two DNA samples. However, these samples do not match any known DNA samples. These were cremated remains and saliva.

Later at the church Arthur invites Dexter for some volunteer charity work.

While at doing the charity Dexter fakes an injury to gain access to the killers home. To his surprise the killer leaves his weapons in plain sight.
