Joe jackson is seeking a monthly allowance from his late son’s estate, according to a reports.
An attorney for Jackson Family patriarch Joe Jackson filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday seeking a stipend from the millions that should go toward caring for Michael’s three young children.
According to court documents, Joe, 81, feels there’s “no apparent reason” for the administrators of the estate to not seek an allowance for him.
“He does not have a regular or steady source of income, and he was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support,” the filing stated.
“It was quite surprising to learn of the request,” Howard Weitzman, an attorney for the administrators of Jackson’s estate, said in a statement. “Mr. Jackson’s petition will be considered as are all requests for money from Michael’s estate.”
The King of Pop specifically requested in his will that his father receive nothing upon his death.
According to Forbes, the late King of Pop has grossed $90 million since his death thanks to “royalties from album sales, radio play, rights to his name and likeness and royalties from his stake in the Sony/ATV music catalog.”
Michael Jackson died June 25 at age 50.

What happenend to the millions he recieved while managing the Jackson 5? He blew through it years ago and Michael has been supporting him ever since – albiet through his mother Katherine.
There definitely was a reason he wasn’t mentioned in Michael’s will. Due to the horrific child abuse – being doused with oil then beaten brutally with an electrical cord was routine punishment in his childhood for dancing mis-steps, singing on the wrong key, whether real or imagined by Joe or just to establish unchallenged dominance.
If there was real justice he should have to experience some true hardships at the very least for the torturing of his sweet and beautiful and talented child. However, since the Jackson’s are all about family I’m sure he will end up with a stipend from Michael’s estate. I just hope it’s not very much and that it comes out of Katherine’s money and not the childrens. I certainly hope she out-lives Joe – can you imagine if he got custody of any of the children by default upon her death??? The money would be gone in the blink of an eye, he would likely abuse the children (bullies never change) and how much do you want to bet he’d pimp them out on some kind of reality show or music thing just to keep him living in the lap of luxury???

Michael had every right not to put his father in his will. There is a consequence when someone hurts another human being, whether it’s physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. His father has many apologies to make for causing such pain to his off-spring. Abusive behavior is not acceptable, should he get any funding, perhaps the Judge can order that he use the funds to seek counseling for his mental incompetence.
What’s wrong with living on SS like millions of people do? See how the real world lives! That should be his punishment for that horrible abuse he dolled out! Evil man. Katherine gets 60,000 a month in Child Support for those kids!!!! The family is living beyond their means. I say they need to shed alot of things they can live without. Hell i raise my kids on just over 20,000 a year and i have 3 kids myself.

$60,000/mo in child support sounds like a lot but you have to consider that they have private teachers/tutors (can you imagine what horrid things kids at school would say and do to those poor kids)? In addition to that there is a private chef, chauffer, nanny, house keeper, etc. That amount is to provide for the children in they way they were living before Michael died. They have lost so much already with the loss of their father. What would be gained by them being forced to live below the poverty line while Sony, AEG and miriads of Lawyers make off with hundreds of millions of dollars that their father intended for the support of his kids? Their grandmother is their loving guardian but she is old and is clearly not up to the task of cooking, cleaning, driving and taking care of a large estate by herself. So like any other people in that income bracket – they have “help”. This lifestyle has not made the children spoiled brats, in fact, all accounts have said that they are the nicest well mannered children that most people who have come in contact with them have ever seen. Let the kids grow up as best as they can, considering. Why should the children have to live low so Joe Jackson can live large?
It’s time for the Jackson family to stop “taking money from Michael” Joe needs to apply for Social Security and and so doe Katherine. Maybe a smaller house for both of them instead of mansions, and extravagently expensive hotel rooms, they are just wanting to spend all the money on themselves instead of the kids, the kids won’t have any money left if Joe, Katherine, and his brothers keep sueing for payments. Joe Jackson benefited all of Michael’s life. Now in death he still wants to benefit even though the will clearly indicates he is not to get a cent. There was a reason that was in the will and to honor Michael Jackson’s memory would be to follow the letter of the will. Joe – I hear Walmart is hiring.

Joe Jackson does not deserve one copper penny from Michaels’ estate. He had his reasons for not naming him a beneficiary. Perhaps there were incidents and situations we don’t even know nor will ever know that happened between MJ and Joe. Apply for SS and get off your high horse Joe. If Katherine does give him some cash, there should be a penalty.

Michael once said to his sister La Toya that he wounded miss Joseph if he died. La Toya said she wouldn’t either. He doesn’t deserve to be supported by Micheal’s money against Michael’s wishes.

Listen to all of you beating down on Joe Jackson’s back about him getting allowance from his son’s estates. Come on people, Mr. Jackson did what he had to for his kids to be where they are today. Apart from Michael’s stories of his father’s straight rules, none of his bros or sisters ever talk much about what their father did as so proclaimed by Michael. Mr. Jackson did the right thing by putting his kids on the path of success. Look at some of us to day, just getting by is not enough. If I have to whip some sense or discipline in my kids for them to be prepare for the real world so be it. The road to good life is not easy. After Michael became a father himself, he better understood and forgave his father. If you go to YouTube and search for his 2001 speech at Oxford University, you will hear Michael in his own words. If he could forgive his father, why can’t you? Also, in his book Moonwalk, Michael praises his father for making sure that his children had money after their childhood performing days were over and he no longer had control of their assets. “My father did always protect us. He looked after our interests in the best ways. …I’d say we were among a fortunate few artists who walked away from a childhood in the business with anything substantial — money, real estate, other investments. …Imagine stealing from from your own children. My father never did anything like that.” (pg. 17) Which of us would not help our parents if we had the income like Michael had? Michael knew that his mother would share with his father as she had always done. His father does not deserve all the negativity that he is being shown.
