Joe Perry and Aerosmith will forge on without Steven Tyler.
Perry shared his thoughts following the recent announcement that Tyler, who has led the band for nearly 40 years, was stepping aside.
During an interview with the Las Vegas Sun, Perry said, “Steven quit as far as I can tell, I don’t know anymore than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”
It seems that Tyler isn’t even quite sure of his future plans. “I don’t know what I’m doing yet, but it’s definitely going to be something Steven Tyler: working on the brand of myself — Brand Tyler,” he told Classic Rock magazine.
Aerosmith canceled several concerts over the summer amid an injury-plagued season after Mr. Tyler fell from a stage on Aug. 5. A publicist for the band referred questions to its management, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Aerosmith is the best-selling American hard rock band of all time, having sold 150 million albums worldwide, including 66.5 million albums in the United States alone. They also hold the record for the most gold and multi-platinum albums by an American group, according to Wikipedia.
Do you Think Aerosmith can exist without the popular front man?

Steven Tyler & Aerosmith To Park Ways

No!
No way! Steven Tyler is Aerosmith.Ask anyone, who plays in areosmith and the first one they will name will be Steven and than Joe.Most people can’t tell you the others. Even if they say they are die hard fans.
This sounds like a job for Sammy Hagar!
I agree with Maxie, even die hard fans probably can’t name all the other members. I am not a die hard fan, but a fan, and I don’t even know their names. Steven Tyler is Aerosmith – He’s the voice! Boy, do I reget not ever going to a concert, I always wanted to.
