‘The Biggest Loser’ Cuts Daniel Wright And Shay Sorrells

Shay Sorrells and Daniel Wright were eliminated from The Biggest Loser on Tuesday, November 10.

First on the chopping block was Daniel, who only managed to lose 5lbs this weeks.

Daniel, a two-time contestant on the show said his second time around was a battle.

“Falling below the red line was one of the toughest things that’s happened to me. I really wanted to be a finalist with really close friends of mine and I’m going to miss them,” said Daniel after his elimination.

“Am I frustrated that I’m not going to be a finalist? Yeah. Is it the end of the world? No. I already won nine months ago when I decided to change – -that’s when I won… This is not my first time leaving the show, except this time I know I can live my life much fuller than I was last time.”

The second contestant eliminated from the Biggest Loser last night was Shay Wright.

In nine weeks Shay lost 100 pounds, and at home it’s taken her three times as long to lose 54 pounds.  She started the reality show weighing 476 pounds.

“Walking onto this campus I was scared. I didn’t know if I was going to make it through. Walking out of the gym after that first workout was a turning point,” said Shay after her ouster.

“I wouldn’t change a single thing that I’ve done here… I learned here to believe in myself — trusting myself pushed me to places I didn’t think I wanted to go. It hurt. But I’m seeing more of me when I look in the mirror because I have a future now, I have a life ahead of me. I couldn’t have said that nine weeks ago.”

The Biggest Loser’s next air Tuesdays  at 8:30PM ET/PT on NBC.

Total crap that Shay was eliminated! Of all the people that truly NEED to be there she should have been afforded to stay! This season has been nothing but mind game and manipulation and it started with that drip Tracey.

  2. Johnny says:

Shay should of been the last one gone. Jessica should of left that show. She has not lost more than 7 pounds and toped 7 once in 9 weeks and always seems like shes being emo on the show instead of listening to her trainer if Jessica is gone i’ll be happy i want Danny to win.

  3. Nancy says:

Yeah Shay! You should have stayed on, you were going good girl! I know you will keep on losing and suprise them all at the finals.

  4. Luci says:

Shay needed to stay. She lost a hundred pounds and was so proud of her self, and she worked hard. Jessica should have been sent home. She can handle what weight she has left to loose at home. The biggest loser needs to bring Shay back.

  5. kathleen says:

Why didn’t they do a ‘how are they now’ at the end of the show on Shay? I hope she is okay. I agree with the above posters; if she lost 17 pounds and still fell below the yellow line, she was no threat. Those who voted against her should be ashamed.

  6. L.Allen says:

I was upset to see Shay and Daniel get voted off because they needed to stay until the end. I’m proud of Shay because she has lost 154 pounds and was on jay Leno with Daniel and they both look great. I cant wait until the finally.

cry baby amanda should have been sent home. she’s a little whiny butt. every week she plays the victim and when she loses her usaul 5 pnds she sits oh but i worked so hard this week . please the only thing that she works hard at is the whiny victim routine. its a good thing that jillian saw through her right away. bob is way to soft on her even though he knows her for what she is. if anyone deserved to be there it was shay…

  8. Debbie says:

Who the heck is Jessica?? Do you mean Amanda?

  9. lisa says:

I’ve been watching the Biggest Loser since it started and in all the seasons I’ve never been so upset over a contestant leaving. Shame on all those contestants who voted Shay off the ranch. She both deserved to stay and needed to stay more than anyone else there. Like Shay said “she was no threat to any of them” I don’t know if I will continue to watch the show. It used to be about the humanity of people voting to keep those on the ranch that needed to stay, now it’s just “about the game”

I have been watching the Biggest Loser for the last few years and I can’t believe how dumb some of the contestants are. If you know that someone needs to be there over someone else than don’t write that person’s name down and send them home. I agree with everyone else Shay should have stayed and Amanda should have been sent home. “Wendy” you are so true Amanda has played victim from the start. She doesn’t work out 1/2 as much as everyone else on the ranch.
Anyways “Shay if you read any of these please remember that we are all on your side and please keep up the great work. You are an inspiration to everyone. Please keep us updated.”

Shay should of not been voted off. Those that voted
her off should be ashamed of themselves. Shay worked
so hard and needed to be there. The guy in blue who
promised he was there for her should be the next one
to go. His word ment nothing to him. (I cannot even
remember his name) but he deserves to be voted off and I am going to pray he is the next one to go.
Shay you are great and keep up the good work. They
did not show you today at the end of the show and I
was really looking forward to seeing you today. Keep
up the good work…….God Bless You
