Former Heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was involved in an altercation at the Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday which led to Tyson and a photographer making citizen’s arrests on each other.

While Tyson was making his way to his flight to Las Vegas a celebrity photographer started taking his picture.

Los Angeles Police Dept Sgt. Jim Holcomb said “The two men got into a scuffle, and it’s alleged that Tyson hit the photographer once in the face with one hand, causing him to fall to the ground. The photographer sustained a laceration to the forehead, and was taken to a local hospital.”

Holcomb added “There’s a lot of different versions to this story and that’s all going to come out later.  Some witness statements support Tyson’s version, others support the photographer’s.”

Tyson;s defence attorney, David Chesnoff said “I’ve heard people were following him into the men’s room and trying to take his picture there. My advice to him is going to be to vigorously press charges against what everyone agrees are ridiculously aggressive photographers.”

Tyson was arrested, booked and held on $20,000 bail.
