Season 9 of Dancing with the Stars continued with eliminations last night, sending pop sensation Aaron Carter and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, off the competition stage, allowing Kelly Osbourne to breathe an audible sigh of relief. After eight weeks of dancing, tears and intense emotion, Carter just couldn’t cut it anymore, but not without some resounding praise from judge Len Goodman.

”You’re an inspiration to all young people that anything is possible. If you were my son I would be so proud of you,” said the seasoned judge, who had often been hard on Carter’s over-the-top dance styles and enthusiam. In a fitting finale for the night, Britain’s newest singing sensation, Susan Boyle, made an appearance to sing the song that won over several nations, “I Dreamed a Dream.” Also appearing for a special performance was Michael Buble, who sang two songs during the results show.

Former Dancing stars Jerry Rice and Kenny Mayne also joined the star-studded crew to add some much-needed color commentary and dancing critique to lighten the mood.
