Biggest loser contestant Rebecca Meyer may have lost 73 pounds on the Biggest Loser ranch, but she gained a new man in her life.
Rebecca says her and fellow contestant Daniel Wright are now dating.
“We didn’t really like each other all that well in the beginning, and went from not liking each other to becoming friends to becoming best friends. After we both left the show, we wanted to spend hours on the phone talking to each other. I fell in love with my best friend,” Rebecca told reporters the day after her elimination aired.
Although the two live in separate states, the two try and see eathother as much as possible.
“They initially planned to see each other one week every month, but it has increased to two weeks,” an insider reveals.
Daniel Wright, 20, is a student from Willow Spring, N.C., and Rebecca Meyer, 25, is a student from Des Moines Iowa.
This isn’t the first romance to spring from the ranch. Season 2 winner Matt Hoover and second runner-up Suzy Preston started dating on the show and got engaged during an interview on the ‘Today’ show in early 2006
The Biggest Loser airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Citytv/NBC.

i think you two make a cute couple daniel look’s like a nice guy to be with.my daugther and me cried when rebecca was voted off. rudy was very rude and i hought he was wrong in what he said to rebecca.
I think it was awful that Rebecca got sent home. I think she was a grewatr person and was always nice and encouraging to everyone. The words Rudy used to her were very rude and mean. The say when one door closes another one opens and in this case it is true. I am so happy for the both of them. These two are the sweetest people i have seen in a while. I hope the future brings you many years of happiness. Can’t wait to see both of you in the finaly, You both were an inspiration to me and I thank you for that.
