According to reports, a Los Angeles law firm is suing singer Rod Stewart for $3.3 million in legal fees they claim he owes.
The law offices of Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro laims allege Stewart owes for work on three separate cases.
The firm says it has represented Stewart “on at least 19 different matters for more than 20 years.”
While the crooner did pay most of his bills, the firm says he owes for several cases including a contract dispute after the singer pulled out of a New Year’s Eve performance at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas, claiming he was still recovering from throat cancer surgery.
The other cases involve a South Africa concert cancellation and a trademark dispute.
Stewart’s rep hasn’t commented on the lawsuit against the rocker.
Stewart came to prominence in the late 1960s and early ’70s with The Jeff Beck Group and then Faces. He launched his solo career in 1969 with his debut album An Old Raincoat Won’t Ever Let You Down.
