According to reports, Senator John Kerry’s daughter, Alexandra Forbes Kerry, was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of DUI.
The film director-producer, was pulled over for a traffic stop, then arrested and booked at LAPD’s Hollywood station.
Alexandra, a 36, initially refused and was taken to the LAPD’s Hollywood station — where a formal blood alcohol test registered a level of .06.
“It can take a small person two drinks and they are wasted,” said an L.A. police spokesman, explaining why a blood-alcohol test is just one factor in a drunken driving bust.
Although California’s legal lilmit is .08, Kerry could still face prosecution for unsafely operating a vehicle.
“She was arrested for driving under the influence,” said Officer Sara Faden, who added that Kerry was released on $5,000 bail.
The incident occurred in Hollywood at 12:40 AM.
She was released at 5:25 AM.
John Kerry has yet to comment but did release a statement through his rep.
“Alexandra Kerry was pulled over for an expired registration and was released after the results of a Breathalyzer test at the police station were under the legal limit. Sen. Kerry supports his daughter and will have no further comment on a private matter,” said Jodi Seth, a spokeswoman for the senator.

I would like to say to “Dave” that not only has the media been unfair to Sarah Palin, Saturday Night Live is lucky she did not sue the producers of their show. When Tina Fey began her mockery of Sarah Palin, that influenced voters in a negative way. And yes, I know they made fun of Hilary too- but they did not portray her as uneducated and dipsy. I have a lot of respect for Sarah Palin but her voice does annoy me now that I have heard it made fun of on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey’s interpretation of her was mean and belittling. As far as John Kerry’s daughter- shame on her for driving under the influence. And shame on whoever designed that dress! She must have bought it when she was under the influence!
