Taylor Swift was the big winner last night at the American Music Awards (AMA’s).

Taylor Swift walked away with five trophies at last night including the top prize – Artist of the Year. Swift beat out the late Michael Jackson, who won four awards.

“To even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson, who we will miss and love forever is an unimaginable honour,” Swift said.

Jay-Z scored two – favourite male rap/hip hop artist and favourite rap/hip hop album. Black Eyes Peas were another multiple winner, taking home the favourite pop/rock group and R&B group awards.

The night wasn’t without memorable performances – Jennifer Lopez fell on her famous butt during her number, Adam Lambert made out with a male dancer during his performance and Lady Gaga offered up another one of trademark performances that included a flaming piano.
