Honestly Jon, why even bother trying to be civil at this point?
After slamming his now ex wife Kate Gosselin, in the press, hitting on younger girls at bars and basically making a fool out of himself, the fallen reality star attempted a peace offering during a five-and-a-half-hour arbitration hearing on Saturday.
Us magazine reports that Jon presented Kate with a bouquet of roses, which she refused, when they both appeared at a Pennsylvania courthouse.
“It was a positive move in the right direction for us to bring them together to the mediation table,” Jon’s lawyer told People magazine.
“Obviously before two warring parties can smoke the peace pipe, they have to sit down at a table and address the issues that brought them to the skirmish.”
The forum couple were there to discuss custody of their twins and septuplets as well as the division of assets, says the magazine. An arbitrator will rule within 30 days, which means the two could finalize a divorce by the end of the year.
The final episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight airs tonight on TLC, with the debut of Kate’s new series, Kate Plus Eight, set to launch in the spring.

Jon goofed up when he started seeing other girls. Thats all that Kate needed to dump him.
They both need to remember where they came from and start realizing before they ask one another for forgivness they MUST start with JESUS ! They are allowing things from the world to come 1st and that is not the order is goes and they both know it

I think Jon deserves another chance. Lets be honest, Kate wasn’t exactly a loving wife. Both of them need to think hard about what has occured since starting their reality show. Honestly I blame TLC and anyone who profited off their family for this mess. Even if Kate don’t forgive him, he’ll find someone else.

Jon is a typical man and let the money and success go to his head. He now realizes that the money goes where the children go and he will not be the custodial parent and therefore he is trying to make up with Kate to keep his money train going. Don’t fall for it Kate, let Jon see that those young girls will leave when the money is gone. Jon is an idiot!
Jon is trying to kiss up, so he would loose everything. He deserves nothing…Typical male after a blunder like the one he has made.
Had they had Jesus in their life, the situation would have never took the path that it did. The kids should be the main focus not who did what to whom. They both screwed up and they both need to accept that and work together to show the kids that it is possible to divorce and still get along regardless of the past or present.
I agree with what Dee Dee posted. Mariage takes three with God at the top and the partners below. I don’t care who you are marriage takes work, and forgiveness from time to time. Neither of them are perfect. Before this devorce is over they should attend A Marriage Encounter weekend. That will change everything if they allow the Lord to be first in their lives.
Waaay too little, too late. If I were Kate, I’d never trust that man again. He’s proven repeatedly that he lies whenever he thinks it benefits him. People like this don’t change..he’s a babyman who will cheat on her again, and thinks nothing of ignoring his children in favor of cheap, slutty tramps who’ll play other games. Let him rot!
Kate is such a bi**H, good for jon to go have fun with some girls, that doesnt define the type of father he is. I hope he receives majority custody and the money because it was only obivious that Kate was the one trying to become some kind of star.

Hopefully all the ugliness can be put aside for the children sake, after all they were once very much in love. People change not always togrther. Peace to all;especially the children.
It seems strange he would have the nerve to offer her roses,nice thought ,but wrong timing.I think Jon needs to grow up a bit more and be a more responsible person to his family and kids.I wish them all the best in their future and happiness for their kids and of course for kate also who is a wonderful mother and lady.
Is TLC kidding? Kate can’t carry a show without Jon to bounce off of, she is awkward and boring by herself. Shamefully the 8 are her only claim to fame and her priorities should lie with them not
making more money/fame running around the country

“The War of the Roses” would have been a good pun for his publicity-seeking handlers. He should have had them stuffed where the sun don’t shine instead of just politely declined.
Considering that their show afforded them opportunities, and the financial wherewithall to purchase a $1,000,000+ home, Jon should have been doing all he could to protect that source of revenue, not cut his nose off to spite his face by shutting down production. Those children are used to having the production crew around, know they are safe when they are around, and as previous shows have indicated, Jon and Kate can rely on them to keep an eye on the kids while they are shuttling them back and forth between hotel room, restaurants and the like. I hope Kate is successful with Kate Plus 8 so the family doesn’t have to move back into a 3 bedroom home or apartment and try to make ends meet on the salary of a registered nurse!! And, what contribution is Jon able to make for child support when he is unemployed (as he has been for quite some time) and spending all his time and money on his “babes.” As for his parenting skills, my personal opinion is he only spends time with the kids when it MIGHT improve someone’s personal opinion of him.

Jon apology sounds rehearsed and why now after all the goofyness? No Moolah…. No Mon no fun… Nobody wants to pay him mega bux for his blunders.
While I think both were in the wrong for their break-up, I think this is a case of “too little, too late”. He wants the status of the party celebrities and all the money, but blocked her from continuing to make a living to support her kids, as she has done in the past. I think she was justified in turning down the “gift”.
