Twilight New Moon Sets New Record For Weekend Total

Despite getting some horrible reviews, Twilight New Moon slayed its competition at the box office over the weekend.

In its first three days, the Twilight sequel raked in $140.7 million dollars in North America to bring its worldwide total to $258.8 million.

The North American numbers placed New Moon third all-time behind only The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 3.

Staring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, New Moon, however, did set an all-time high for an opening day total with $72.7 million, topping the previous record The Dark Knight set last year with $67.2 million.

A year ago, Twilight exceeded expectations by bringing in $69.6 million in its opening weekend.

I love the Twilight series, and I watch Twilight almost every day. I have read each book at least 5 times each. BUT, I can honestly say that New Moon was not at it’s best. It was good, but not Great. I have watched it twice and will see it again, but sorry guys… it could have been A LOT better.

new moon was awesome. some things were changed but not enough to effect the story. i think anyone who hasn’t read the books might have a hard time keeping up.
