New Moon Tops the Box Office Again


“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” once again took the victory at the box office this weekend.

The second installment in the “Twilight” franchise brought in $42.5 million over the three day American Thanksgiving long weekend.

The vampire drama has now earned a total of $230.7 million in 10 days.

Coming just behind “New Moon” with $40.1 million in second place this weekend was the Sandra Bullock football drama “The Blind Side” about a wealthy couple who welcome a not so fortunate teenager into their home and help him to fulfill his dream of becoming a football player.

The disaster movie “2012″ held strong in third for the second week in a row adding another $18 for a total of almost $139 million.

The new release starring John Travolta, Robin Williams, Kelly Preston, Seth Green, Ella Bleu Travolta, Lori Loughlin, and Matt Dillon called “Old Dogs” made $16.8 million this weekend.

Finally, rounding out the top five was Disney’s “A Christmas Carol” starring Jim Carrey grossing $16 million, up 30% from last weekend.
