Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and current Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, is engaged to her long-time boyfriend, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky.

The news has been confirmed by Matt McKenna, spokesman for Bill Clinton. The couple were thought to be getting married last summer in Martha?s Vineyard but the rumours turned out not to be true.

Chelsea, 29, and Marc, 31, met as teenagers in Washington and then both went to Stanford University.

They now live in New York City. No date has been set for the nuptials but it will be sometime next summer.
