The Tiger Woods saga took another turn on Monday, when Woods’ mother in law was rushed to the hospital. Woods’ mother in law, Barbro Holmberg, was rushed to Health Central Monday morning after she collapsed and complained of stomach pains.
911 received a call from Woods’ home, although the caller was not identified. The caller was presumably either Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, or her twin sister. Holmberg was eventually released from the hospital 11 hours later, but full details of her stomach issues were not released.
This incident came less than two weeks after Tiger Woods’ car accident, which has led to a media circus. On November 27 at 2:25 a.m., Woods spun out of his driveway and hit a neighbor’s tree and a fire hydrant. He has since been fined $164 for reckless driving.
A police report issued on Monday, said that a Florida police office suspected Woods was driving under the influence, and sought results of Woods’ blood test. Prosecutor’s rejected the request on grounds of insufficient information.
A neighbor of Woods said that Woods had been prescribed sleep aid Ambien, and Vicodin, a painkiller. It is unclear whether Woods was under the influence of either of those drugs upon his car accident.
With all this, it’s not suprising that souces are claiming that Nordegren has bought a mansion in Sweden and plans to move there with the chilren.
