Taylor Swift changed hairstyle. The young country singer has been photographed with a smooth and straight look while in New York Wednesday.
Taylor ditched her trademark curls for a night out in New York City with gal-pal Emma Stone. The singer – who turns 20 Sunday, sported a new straight hair style, while heading out to dinner in Greenwich Village. She has been in New York City lately for Friday’s Z100 Jingle Ball, where she will perform.
She emerged smiling at the paparazzi, but refused to reveal why she had opted for another cut.

I’m not a big fan of Ms. Swift but as a woman who changes her style quite often, knows this is just a temporary solution to hair boredom. We grow (no pun intended) tired of our styles and lenghts. Taylor will always be beautiful with any hairstyle. But I hope this was just “oh think I’ll do something different today” thought because I like the old style. Young ladies have the advantage of changing their hair everyday for that days event. But young or old alll women like a change now and again, so I just really hope that’s all this is. Because the old style is her insignia and definitely suits her well.

When Taylor’s family was pushing her demo CD around Nashville they had a printed label on the CD and the case. Taylor was wearing her hair straight as a stick then, in fact she looked like a younger version of the “new look” she sported recently. So it is nothing new. For those that claim the “corporate system” is at work again, well before the system was even in play, her hair was being presented as straight. One actually could say that the corporate system pushed her into curls so she would look different than all the Britneys, Jessicas, Christinas, et al…just a thought.

Everyone her hair was never naturally curly in the first place, it was created using curlers and a curling iron, her hair is not the texutre of naturally curly hair, it would be thicker, it was artificial curls in the first place, so in actuality she is going back to her nautural hair style.

It seems many women country singers go through this phase. Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill, and Shania Twain being examples. They all came in curly and once they hit it big, went straight. This is nothing new and certainly not newsworthy. So the girl changes her hair…big deal.
