Mel Gibson and Leonardo DiCaprio Teaming Up for Viking Movie

Mel Gibson is set to direct an untitled drama about Vikings and Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star.

This will mark the first time Gibson and DiCaprio have worked together.

William Monahan “Body of Lies”, “The Departed”) is working on the script.

The details of the movie are being kept under wraps. This will most likely be Gibson’s next directing gig as the movie is scheduled to begin shooting in the fall of next year.

Gibson recently completed “Edge of Darkness” and Jodie Foster’s “The Beaver” both due out next year.

DiCaprio has also been keeping really busy just wrapping up filming on “Shutter Island” and “Inception”.

an since mel is doing it, the movie will be as it was.

Okay, I realize that this is a movie (Fantasy / Pretend) but Leonardo as a tough viking? That is a bit of a stretch…Nicholas Cage, Mark Wahlberg, Trace Adkins but Leonardo??? He is better suited for a Sleepless In Seattle 2 or Brokeback Mountain 2.

  4. MAGS says:

I THINK MEL GIBSON IS A GREAT DIRECTOR & ACTOR, ABSOLUTELY LOVED, BRAVEHEART & APOCALYPTO. CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HE DOES WITH THE VIKING ERA.

  5. GiGi says:

lol some people here take their “positions” a little too what can i say lol “to the azz” lol, anyways i kind of see Leo as a viking with his serious face and he’s gained some weight since “Titanic” and even “Departed” with Matt Damon- he could pull it off if he added some muscles, not too many. Leo is an awesome actor, so much talent comes from him. and Mel Gibson, for get about it lol that man is legendary-I too can not get enough of “Braveheart, The Patriot and Apocalypto”. I havent watched “Passion of Christ” again for how realistic it feels to me. but hes good at what he does. cant wait for this movie to come out in theater
