According to reports Tuesday, actor Alec Baldwin was unwilling to show his bottom during a scene for his new movie “It’s Complicated” and insisted on hiring a butt double to stand in for him.

The “30 Rock” star plays Meryl Streep’s love interest in the comedy and strips off for one scene in which he tries to seduce Streep’s character.

But director Nancy Meyers reveals the butt in the film isn’t really Baldwin’s – because he didn’t want to shed his pants.

Meyers tells USA Today, “He said, ‘Mine’s beautiful. However, I don’t want to do that.’”

So how did Streep, 60, manage to stay full clothed?

“Well, the director is a woman, and she wants to protect her leading lady,” Baldwin tells USA Today. “And the men are just toys to her. I was like a little Ken doll. A 51-year-old Ken doll.”

” It’s Complicated” hits theaters Christmas day.
