Howard Stern, radio dj and original shock jock of the airwaves, is about to enter into contract negotiations with Sirius, the satellite radio company that hosts his provocative, uncensored chat, and things might not turn out the way he would like them to.
When Stern originally signed his contract with Sirius in 2006, they wanted his brand name and popularity so badly that they promised him $500 million in stocks and cash. But Sirius is experienced financial trouble this year, nearly filing for bankruptcy, so the outrageous paycheck Stern received before is more than likely going to be reduced quite a bit this time around. For this reason, the radio personality is threatening to leave Sirius behind and not renew his contract, unless the payout is worth his time.
Analysts are predicting that all of this commotion and threatening is only to negotiate a better contract, but that Stern would more than likely stay with the company, since it’s a greater chance of his voice being heard, and without censoring. Talk is floating around, however, of Stern possibly taking his show to a subscription-only service for mobile phones or PCs, instead of sticking it out with Sirius.

One of the only reasons I listen to Sirius Radio is to tune into Howard’s Show. I only wish he was on radio in Canada. I understand Montreal gave him the boot because he offended them. Not surprising though, the French love to listen to themselves yap, better yet they love the sound of their own voices, I know I’m French !!!! I love Howard’s show and will seriously think of not renewing my subscription if Howard bails on Sirius.

because your Sirius radio never leaves 100 or 101. if it ever does that means you listen to more then Howard and thus you will keep your sub.
