Taylor Swift may be our next Supergirl. This teen country music super star is seriously being considered to play the part for the remake of the movie.
Taylor was recently named entertainer of the year and she seems to be the perfect choice for the new movie.
Swift has a certain style about her which is perfect in portraying one of the greatest female heroes in the world. There just aren’t that many female heroes and now is the time for Supergirl to make an appearance.
There are actually several candidates who are being considered for the role, but Taylor Swift seems to be at the top of that list. She is just that perfect for the role and makes a perfect role model for young teens.
The original 1984 movie was not very successful, however Hollywood experts say that with Taylor Swift as the lead that will change. Times are different and people need a great, young female role model and Taylor fits the bill perfectly.

I don’t think so. No disrespect to Taylor, but she’s a bit too petite for the heroine and her Tennessee accent wouldn’t fit. I’ve done several short stories with the character, and can think of several other actresses (Kaley Cuoco, Hillary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Elisha Cuthbert, Sara Michelle Gellar, Britney Spears….) MUCH better and more ideal for the role! Another thing, if the first movie is any indication, the script will play a BIG factor in how the movie will go.
If she gets the role, no offense, there’s no way the movie will be successful.
