34 year old Helio Castroneves is now officially a father. The race car driver recently released the news and posted a picture of his new born daughter on his twitter page.

Adriana Henao, Castroneves girl friend put to bed on Monday, December 28th, 2009 at 4.15 EST. The baby girl, named Mikaella Castronves, measured 19 inches and weighed 7 pounds and 3 ounces.

Helio Castronves has an impressive career as a race car driver. He has won the Indianapolis 500 three times with his last win coming in at May. He told indystar.com that he had already known about the pregnancy before he won the May race.

Apart from racing, Helio is also famous for winning the Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) reality TV competition with Julianne Hough as partner in 2007. He also presented on “The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest” for the world’s dumbest drivers for truTV.

In reacting to the news of his daughter, Helio is quoted as saying, “This year started very difficult, the middle was kind of a ‘Wow!’ and now this,’’ he said. “This is a great ending for the book.’’ Helio was acquitted of charges of tax evasion in April and won the Indy race in May. While he has not announced any wedding plans with Adriana, Castronves was quoted as saying that it was a natural next step.
