Disney Channels hit show Hannah Montana will be wrapping it up in the spring of 2011. Hannah Montana premiered back in 2006 and led young actress/singer Miley Cyrus to fame.
Hannah Montana is very popular among tween girls ages 9-14 and was Disney’s number one viewed sitcom. Miley Cyrus plays Miley Stewart during the day, a regular teenage girl going through the in’s and out’s of being a young woman and by night she plays Hannah Montana, a beautiful pop singer on her way to stardom.
Many young girls are disappointed to hear this news but have no fear; Miley Cyrus is not going anywhere anytime soon. She’s one of the most popular female role models and will be continue to star in movies and shows.
She is going to be playing a role in this years anticipated sequel of Sex and the City and then will also co star in the new fall drama The Last Song. Not only does she have a great acting career but her solo album Party in the USA was recently released and is doing quite well on the Billboards.

From the begininning I knew this was going to happen. She was given too much fame, popularity, and money at such a young age and now she is taking a turn for the worst, just like Britney. Although her case may not be as severe, she is definitley headed down that path. I am certainly no fan of her, but I mean come on people, fighting about whether or not shes a good role model is not doing anything. Get a life.

Compared to most teenagers in the world (and i am one so i WOULD know), she IS a saint. sahe’s a mature-beyond-her-years, feet-on-the-ground, hardworking girl, and if she wants to just get to be a person once in a while, what are you gonna do about it?
considering how hard Disney has pushed her on the celebrity circuit and how many people work to make her into a brand, she works a lot harder than she has to. Quite admirable, when you think about it. not many teenagers have that kind of work ethic – especially if they have had large sums of money and that level fame before they even hit puberty.
Give her a break – she wants a career doing what she enjoys. Who are you to say how she lives her life. if you’re completely honest – and a GOOD parent – how much is she really hurting you or your kids? think about how much worse she could do. she hasn’t insulted disney or hannah montana. really, let it go. she’s a kid (and a pretty grounded one, considering). so let her be one.
Her parents have let her grow up way too fast. It’s all about $$$$$.
I’m amazed at how rude many are being. I must admit I’m not a big fan of her, but I know many who are.
You think she’s not a good role model? Then tell me, how many people in your own community is? Those people children see everyday, not just an hour or so on tv and stuff? How about the children’s peers who curse and everything, are they any better than her? It’s not like she’s on 24/7 whereas the worst role models are in our everyday lives.
Also, she’s famous. Every mistake she makes, every thing she does, it all gets caught on camera! We’re humans, for crying out loud. We make mistakes too, hers just happens to be spread around the world.
