Colt McCoy Proposes To Rachel Glandorf

Former college football star, Colt McCoy, proposed to his girlfriend, Rachel Glandorf, on Monday night. The proposal took place at Darrel K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, which was the same stadium where Colt McCoy starred as the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns for four straight years.

McCoy who was giving Glandorf a private showing of Texas Memorial Stadium flashed “Will you marry me?” onto the stadiums enormous jumbo tron. When Glandorf saw the message, McCory got down on his knee to finish the proposal, to which Glandor immediately accepted.

The proposal came just four days after McCoy’s Longhorns lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS National Championship Game. While the Longhorns lost 37 to 21, they were actually ahead before McCoy had to leave the game with an injury to his throwing shoulder early in the game. McCoy never returned, and the Longhorns were left severely outmatched.

With 45 career victories, Colt McCory leaves Texas as college football’s all time winningest starting quarterback. Along with Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford and Notre Dame’s Jimmy Claussen, McCoy is considered a top quarterback prospect for this April’s 2010 draft. McCoy is widely regarded as a potential first round draft pick.

    Sorry Toni,

Guess you have to remain a lesbian! That’s just gay of Colt. I think of the Bud Light commercial making fun of the guy you proposes on a jumbo tron

Even in this day with all that is acceptable with our new liberal society, I never cease to be amazed at the cruelty of comments about a college ked that did nothing but play good football. Your gay remark is totally out of line and you should be ashamed.

      • blueaugust says:

While I completely agree with your comment about him being out of line, please don’t bring “liberalism” into it. A jerk, is a jerk, is a jerk….has nothing to do with being liberal.

      • KC says:

Here, here! Ashamed! Ya dirty animal…! Colt did a fine job… Fine job! What a nice fella! Best to him!

  3. Old Reb says:

That Alabama player who smashed into Colt’s throwing arm got away with what should’ve been a 15 yard personal foul penalty and ejected for “spearing” as the replay clearly showed him using his helmet as a weapon and then hitting him again as hard as he could with his shoulder pad. Having played some high school ball myself, I fully realize that football is a hard physical contact sport but that was w-a-a-a-y-y over the top.

  4. Lou says:

Congratulations. I will pray that God blesses you both with many years of happiness and joy.

    Bamababe,

Once again, you show that Alabama has no class!!

Congrats to Colt. What an outstanding guy!

  8. dixie says:

    Congrats Colt and Rachel!!

    Roll Tide :)

  9. brian says:

alabama fans have more heart and class than any other fans and that is a fact texas.o yeah and tradition colt good luck with marriage but u should have got a job first.marriage is expensive!

    • Misspeak says:

Brian, it’s not marriage that is expensive, it is the divorce. As long as he stays unemployed, he’s safe.

    • cwebb says:

BTW, the article was about the marriage proposal. Having said that, not sure about the spearing comment for Reb, but what game were you watching. Texas loses their key player in first quater and still has an outside chance to win in late 4th…with a kid at quarterback that was in high school 6 months ago…and you think Bama could have won a fair fight?!? COnsider the reverse..Ingram goes down on play #5…what would the score have been then??? Not sour grapes…am happy for Bama, just can’t abide classless winners.

  10. Taw says:

Congratulations! May God bless you both with many years of happiness!!

  11. Betty Smith says:

Congrats to Colt and Rachel. May God Bless you as you take the love you have for each other to a new level . To bamababe and houstongirl both of you need to chill out .Remember what Thumpper said in Bambie, If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all. Roll Tide and not all Alabama fans have ill will for Texas.

  12. mike says:

    God wins here

  13. Educated? says:

I thought college was about education. Glandorf will be filing for a divorce in five years, when she realizes she can go on her own vacations with her friends and half of his money. Good luck Colt! If you didn’t get a pre-nup, you should have taken Feminist Theory 101.

  14. r jones says:

HEY COLT CONGRATS I WISH YOU HADNT HURT YOUR SHOULDER EITHER WAY THERES NO WAY YOU WOULD HAVE BEAT BAMA

    • cwebb says:

to R Jones: sub an 18 year old freshman for Ingram after 5 plays and how well do you think Bama would have fared? YOu think a healthy McCoy on the field the whole game would not have affected the outcome? We’ll never know, but based on everything I saw, McCoy isn’t hurt and i see no way Bama beats Texas.

  15. MaryBeth says:

Congratulations to you both! And by the way, you played a great game while you were in there. Thanks for four years of great quarterbacking for Texas!
