Another Hollywood star has announced his battle with cancer. Michael C. Hall, who is the star of Showtime’s hit show “Dexter” has been battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and the cancer is now in remission. The 38 year old actor is a newcomer to the Hollywood scene. One of his first roles was in the HBO series, “Six Feet Under.” Before his latest role he starred in several Broadway musicals.
He is nominated for a best actor award in a dramatic series at this weekend’s Golden Globes award show. His hit show “Dexter” is also nominated for Best Drama series. Hall will be attending the Golden Globes with his wife Jennifer Carpenter, who plays his sister on the show. He has been nominated for several awards for his serial killer by night and police officer by day role.
Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a rare cancer that affects approximately 3 in 100,000 people every year and is more common in men under the age of 40. The survival rate is over 90 percent when caught in the early stages. Hall was diagnosed with the cancer last year and has been getting treatment for the disease. He will continue treatment for the cancer until he is deemed cured by his doctors.
