Sometimes there are those situations that involve celebrity scandals and outright foolishness.
One such example of this occurred with the recent marital problems of Tiger woods.
What happened was, a Colorado man named Eric Kay decided to re-label the different Gatorade products that show Wood’s image. Kay replaced them with an image showing the famous golfer and his wife, along side the word “adulterer.”
Unbeknown to Kay, when you go in public and engage in such actions you are breaking several different federal statues, most notably the Federal Tampering Act along with the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
According to the agent that arrested and interviewed Kay, when asked why he engaged in such foolish behavior, Kay felt that what he was doing was similar to what many contemporary artists have done over the last 50 years (such as the famous panting of Andy Worhal).
He also felt that he was not violating any major laws and that if there were any legal consequences he would more than likely receive a slap on the wrist.
What all of this shows, is that Kay is going to be facing some serious legal issues because he did not think. Its one thing to place the image in your refrigerator, it is another to place the image on store shelves.
